Data Art
Art and design projects where data is the medium. Drawing ideas from S. Wright’s Dataethetics and G. Lupi’s Data Humanism, I believe we need to radically humanize data-driven approaches to society, from Artificial Intelligence to digital statistics and map-making. As artist L. DuBois said, by reducing people to numbers, dataviz can be anesthetizing. Data Art is a small personal response to Big Data fetishism.
